First Post

Finally got our blog up and running! Thought we'd start with a photo of our boat Kiawah.

We're busy planning, packing, and anxiously awaiting the day when we jump in our car and drive to Boston to pick up an RV that we are delivering to Orlando for a rental company. Once there, we'll rent a car to take us to our new home for the next 6 months, a 40' sailboat named Kiawah. From there, we'll begin a 6-month sailing adventure to the eastern Caribbean with our children Riley and Wren to end sometime in the summer of 2014 back here in Maine.  We hope you enjoy our posts and pics.  We'll be updating this page throughout our adventure, so feel free to sign up for automatic email of our posts if you're interested in following along.

Cheers!

    1. We are so thankful that Blue will be enjoying a Yellow Birch Farm vacation with you, Sheba, and the boys! He will be that happiest dog who has ever gone to, "a farm in Maine".

  2. Bon Voyage!

A revised/improved Irish Blessing for your family:

May the (road) TIDE rise to meet you,
May the wind be always (at your back) IN YOUR SAILS,
May the sun shine warm upon your faces,
The rains fall soft upon your (fields) DECKS and,
    Until we meet again,
May God (NEPTUNE) hold you in the palm of His hand.

May the hinges of our friendship never grow rusty.

Our best to you all. Clear sailing!!
    Keep us posted.

    1. Thanks, Randy (you silver tongued devil!). Very nice to oil the "hinges of friendship". (or at least pour beer on them).

  4. I will be there with you in every fruity cocktail you drink, in every tacky piece of upholstery you sit upon, and each pair of rubberized Crocs that get "the stink" on your wet feet.
Love you guys!!!! Bon Voyage!!! Happy Sails!!!!!
