It would be great if time would allow us to stop at every
cay in the Exuma island chain, but we've had to be selective in choosing our
stops. Not only because of time, but
because navigating the cuts that link Exuma sound with the Bahama Bank can be
tricky depending on tide flow and wind.
All the islands are beautiful with their own unique attractions. The girls wanted to share a couple of high
points with you.
Riley chose to write about the endangered iguanas of Great
Guana Cay, and the swimming hogs of Big Major island. Please see her blog for a great essay on
these topics, as well as photographs.
Wren, our resident fish expert (who has completely overcome her fear of snorkeling in deep water), wanted
to write about Thunderball Grotto at Staniel Cay, and the endangered Hutias of
Warderick Wells. Please see her blog for
pictures and essays.
They love to get comments,
even though they don't always have time to respond.
Enjoy!
